I truly appreciated the short distance to Gifford Woods State Park, just about 2 km away, where I enjoyed relaxing walks surrounded by beautiful nature, and a scenic stroll to Thundering Brook Falls Trail, which was only 2.5 km away, providing breathtaking views. my stay was enhanced by the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff that made it feel like home.

Don’t let these reviews fool you
So we checked in and got room 15, but wow, that place had a strong musty smell, and bathroom was worse. We moved to room 16, and it was the same sad story with dirty hair in the sink. The shower barely worked, and there were bugs everywhere. Good coffee for breakfast, but that rotten fruit? No thanks.

Decent accommodations, but service needs improvement
The room was clean and cozy, perfect for relaxation after a long drive. The homemade muffins at breakfast were delightful! However, interactions with staff felt uncomfortable, as they seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. Future guests should consider confirming details in advance to avoid misunderstandings.

The breakfast stands out with delicious homemade options like fresh blueberry pancakes, topped with real Vermont maple syrup—truly a treat after a long day on the slopes. Rooms offer impressive space along with clean, comfortable beds and excellent control of heat, making it a cozy retreat after skiing.
The decor might come off as a bit dated for those used to more modern interiors, which could detract from the overall vibe for some. Depending on your preferences, the homey feel might be too modest when compared to pricier options nearby, lacking the high-end amenities you’d find at luxury resorts.
